How Do Amish Artisans Manage to Sell Their Handmade Items Online?

TheAmishBasket.com is a small family business working directly with Amish builders to deliver highly sought after handmade items. We are not Amish ourselves, but have formed deep-seated relationships with the Amish community over the past decade in which we have been fortunate enough to work with them. We are proud to be doing our part in keeping the art of basketweaving alive!

TheAmishBasket.com offers the convenience of modern communication but the quality of master Amish craftsmen. With our commitment to American craftsmanship, rest assured that each decorative basket is meticulously handcrafted by Old Order Amish families right here in the USA.

Where are you located?

All orders ship from Princeton, MO, which is where the Old Order Amish community that weave our baskets is located. Learn more about the families making our baskets HERE.

What is your lead time?

Our baskets are handmade to order and usually ship in 3-5 days but can take up to 10 days on occasion. Slowdowns can occur due to the handmade nature of the items and the dependence on horse and buggy to take the orders to the drop off location. Typical transit time is 2-3 days.

Do you take custom orders?

We accommodate custom orders whenever possible. Because every basket is handmade, it is generally no trouble to make custom sizes. If you are interested in a custom basket, or would like to alter the dimensions on one of our listed products, soimply reach out to us on our contact page and let us know! We will get back to you right away and do our best to accommodate you!

Are you associated with any other websites?

We are not affiliated with any other basket websites, and any similarities you may notice are purely coincidental. Our operations and offerings are distinct and independent, reflecting our unique approach and commitment to quality.
